Joanna Allen currently serves as an Account Manager at CoverMyMeds, a healthcare IT company based in Columbus. In this role, she develops long-lasting relationships with top Payer clients to create win-win solutions ultimately helping patients to get the medications they need to live healthy lives. CoverMyMeds’ suite of products enables providers and pharmacies to easily complete prior authorizations for medications, improving patient care and adherence. Joanna is a trusted client advocate, driving results through top notch relationship management skills. She works thoroughly with her clients to develop a strategic growth plan and define benchmarks for success, resulting in 25% increased physician engagement. In addition, Joanna possesses a deep passion for helping children, beginning her career at a non-profit association whose mission focused on promoting access to comprehensive eye care. Through her work in charitable event planning, she lead educational presentations for children across the state and coordinated access for hundreds of children to receive vision exams and glasses, improving visual health for children in Ohio. Her unique background and professional achievements are proof it is possible to succeed while remaining connected to a purpose rooted in kindness and service to others. Encouraging others to dedicate time to service is a priority. Leading by example, Joanna spearheaded group volunteer efforts with Columbus Early Learning Centers for her team. She also participates in the CoverMyMeds mentorship program, and recently became a volunteer with Lifecare Alliance, assisting with the Meals on Wheels program delivering food to those in need. Joanna attended The Ohio State University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication and graduated with honors. She grew up in Lima, Ohio, and now lives in Pickerington with her husband Ryan, daughter Pippa, and their dog Sunny. Beyond spending time with friends and family, she is a bourbon enthusiast and loves to travel.
